HiP adds ASTRAGAUGE high pressure gages to product family

High Pressure Equipment Company (HiP) has added a full line of ASTRAGAUGE high pressure gauges, ROTASEAL high pressure swivels and high-pressure Gauge Snubbers to its product offering through its acquisition of ASTRAGAUGE.

HiP, a subsidiary of Graco Inc., will manufacture the ASTRAGAUGE products at their Erie, Pennsylvania, headquarters facility.

ASTRAGAUGE high pressure gauges feature a helical bourdon-type style element manufactured of cold drawn and cold formed high strength stainless steel to provide excellent measurement accuracy of 1/2 or 1% ascending pressure and a longer life. 

The new gauges are available in 14 pressure ranges from 7,500 to 150,00 psi for oxygen, gas and water service. ASTRAGAUGE use a turret-type heavy-duty sealed aluminium case with a 6inch polycarbonate front window and can be wall or flush mounted.

Gauges to 100,000 psi have a 1/4-inch-high pressure connection. Gauges from 75,000 to 150,000 psi are available in 3/8 inch or 5/8-inch-high pressure connections.

The ROTASEAL high pressure swivels are developed for waterjet cutting applications where a rotating connection is required to conduct the high-pressure water safely and without leaks.

ROTASEAL is offered in right angle or straight-through configurations for pressures and flows to 60,000psi and 15gpm. ROTASEAL is constructed of 17-4 PH SS and 316 SS for all wetted parts to deliver long service life and corrosion resistance.

The Gauge Snubber is a device used to “smooth” out the pressure fluctuations created by reciprocating pumps commonly required for waterjet cutting. The smoothing action allows for more accurate pressure indication and extends the life and calibration of the pressure gauge.

Gauge snubbers are available in 1/4inch and 3/8inch high-pressure connections for pressures up to 60,000 psi.
